This policy covers the Mufungo Docs mobile app (store title: Mufungo Docs: Scan & Convert, package com.mufungogeeks.mufungodocs) and the pages on mufungogeeks.com/mufungodocs/ that describe it.

• Scan, convert, OCR, CV building, and your document library run on your phone.
• There is no account and no Mufungo cloud. We do not receive your files.
• You share a file only when you tap share and choose an app.
• The app shows Google AdMob ads. Ads need the internet. Google, not us, handles that ad data.
• A paid Pro option that removes ads may be offered later through Google Play. We do not store card numbers.

These items are processed or stored on the device. Mufungo does not collect them:

• Documents and working copies in app-private storage. Uninstalling the app removes them.
• Saved files you choose to keep. A copy also goes to the public Downloads / Mufungo Docs folder so you can open it in Files. Those copies stay until you delete them yourself.
• Camera — used only when you start Scan or OCR. We do not record in the background.
• Photos and files you pick through the system picker. We do not scan your whole gallery.
• OCR uses Google ML Kit on the device. We do not send document images to Mufungo.
• Saved CVs are stored in local preferences so you can open them again.
• Theme and scanner defaults are stored locally.

On Android 9 and older, saving to Downloads may ask for storage permission. Android 10 and newer use MediaStore and do not need that permission for this save.

We do not use the microphone. We do not track location. There is no receipt analyser and no QR or barcode scanner in this app.

The app includes Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): banners on some screens, an interstitial after a few finished tool saves, and a rewarded ad before a CV PDF can be saved.

AdMob may use an advertising identifier, IP address, and device or app information under Google’s own policies. That data is handled by Google for advertising. We do not receive a copy of your documents through ads. We do not run a separate analytics SDK.

You can limit ad personalization in your phone settings (advertising ID / ad privacy controls). See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Internet is required for ads and for store purchases. Scan, convert, and viewing still work offline.

A Pro in-app purchase that removes ads may be offered through Google Play Billing. If you buy it, Google processes the payment. We do not store your card number. Google may share limited purchase status with the app so it can unlock Pro on that install.

• Google ML Kit — on-device text recognition. We do not send your document images to Mufungo.
• Share sheet — when you share, the app you pick receives the file. That app’s own policy applies.
• Google Fonts — typefaces may load from Google when the device is online.
• Google Play — distributes the Android app and, if Pro is offered, handles billing.

Mufungo Docs is a general productivity tool. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Most document data never leaves the phone.

[TO CONFIRM] The age rating you will set on Google Play (for example 3+ or PEGI 3).

• Access or export: your files are already on the device. Share or copy them from the app or from Downloads.
• Delete: delete files in the app, or uninstall to remove app-private data. Copies you saved to Downloads stay until you delete those files.
• Ads: use your operating system’s ad-personalization and advertising-ID settings.

If privacy law where you live gives you rights to access, correct, or delete personal data held by a company (including GDPR-style or CCPA-style rights), those rights apply to data a business actually holds. We do not operate an establishment in the EU or California, and we do not store your documents on Mufungo servers, so there is usually nothing on our side to export or erase. Ad data held by Google is controlled by Google. Governing law for our relationship with you is Zimbabwe, as described in the Terms of Use.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after the new date means you accept the updated policy.
