This policy covers the Android app Four In A Row - Multiplayer (package com.mufungogeeks.fourinarow), distributed on Google Play.

What the game does

Four In A Row - Multiplayer is a portrait Connect Four game. You can play against computer opponents, pass one phone between two people, or play online with another person.

The game has coins, lives, levels, XP, trophies, a shop, and a leaderboard.

It is a general-audience game. It is not a children’s app, and it is not in Google Play’s Designed for Families program.

3

Accounts

There is no email or password account.

Online features sign you in anonymously with Firebase Authentication and store an anonymous user id. You choose a display name of 3 to 16 characters. The placeholder name “Player” cannot be used on the leaderboard.

You can save a motto, a favourite colour, and a showcase of trophies.

Country is optional. You choose it from a list. The game does not read GPS or precise location.

Birthday is optional. It is stored on the device and used only for a local trophy. Birthday is not shown on the leaderboard.

4

Data stored on the phone

Progress is stored on the device:

  • Profile, XP, stats, trophies, coins, lives, themes, settings, and career records
  • Sound and vibration settings
  • A restore code of 8 characters

If cloud backup is on, that restore code is the key to a cloud copy of the local save.

5

Data sent online

The items below are sent only after anonymous sign-in.

  • Leaderboard: display name, chosen country, XP, level, wins, games, and win rate. Other signed-in players can see this. Rank is wins, then win rate, then XP, then games.
  • Online presence: display name, whether you are online, XP, wins, and games, so other players can see who is online and send a challenge.
  • Challenge invite: the sender’s anonymous id, display name, XP, and a 5-character room code.
  • Online room: host and guest anonymous ids, both names, the list of moves, and whether each person is still in the room. When one player leaves, the room is closed for both.
  • Cloud save: the restore code and a copy of the on-device save, which can include the optional birthday, motto, and progress. Only someone who is signed in and has that code can read it.

There is no free-text chat. The game does not store chat messages.

6

Anonymous id and restore code

The anonymous user id comes from Firebase anonymous sign-in. It is not an email address, and it is not a password.

The restore code is 8 characters. If cloud backup is on, that code is what unlocks the cloud copy of your save. Keep it. We may not be able to identify an anonymous account without it.

Uninstalling the app does not delete the anonymous cloud records. To ask for a cloud save to be deleted, contact support@mufungogeeks.com and include the restore code.

7

What other players can see

Other signed-in players can see your leaderboard row and your online presence.

  • Leaderboard: display name, chosen country, XP, level, wins, games, and win rate
  • Online presence: display name, whether you are online, XP, wins, and games

Birthday is not shown on the leaderboard. The game does not store chat messages.

8

Firebase

The app uses Firebase, from Google, for:

  • Anonymous sign-in and the anonymous user id
  • The database for the leaderboard, online presence, challenge invites, online rooms, and cloud saves described above
  • Analytics, which records that the app was opened and can collect Firebase’s normal automatic events
  • Crashlytics, which receives crash reports so bugs can be fixed
  • Cloud Messaging, which asks for notification permission and a device token so the app can receive notifications
  • Remote Config, which can supply an update message and a link to the Play listing

We do not sell this data.

Google’s policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

9

Ads

Google AdMob shows ads.

  • An interstitial ad can appear after every second finished game.
  • A rewarded ad can grant one life only after you finish the ad and earn the reward.
  • Buying “Remove Ads” stops these ads.

AdMob may use the advertising id and its own data as described in Google’s privacy policy.

10

Purchases

Purchases are made through Google Play. RevenueCat is used to read and restore those purchases.

  • Unlimited lives for 24 hours — $1.99, consumable
  • Unlimited lives for 7 days — $4.99, consumable
  • Remove Ads — $2.99, one-time
  • Coin packs: 100 coins $0.99, 500 coins $2.99, 1,200 coins $4.99, 3,000 coins $9.99, consumable
  • Neon Arcade room theme — $3.99, one-time

Coins, lives, and themes are virtual items with no cash value. They cannot be transferred, sold, or redeemed for money. Refunds are handled by Google Play, not inside the game.

Google Play’s terms: https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/

11

Notifications

Cloud Messaging asks for notification permission and a device token so the app can receive notifications. You can deny that permission.

12

Device permissions

The app uses internet, Google Play Billing, and notifications.

It does not use a location permission, contacts, a camera, or a microphone.

13

How long data is kept

Data stored on the phone stays there until you uninstall the app or clear the app’s storage. Uninstalling removes that local save.

Uninstalling does not delete the anonymous cloud records. Those stay until you contact us and ask for them to be deleted. Include the restore code if you want a cloud save deleted. We may not be able to identify an anonymous account without it.

When one player leaves an online room, the room is closed for both.

14

We do not sell personal information

We do not sell personal information.

15

Children

Four In A Row - Multiplayer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child used the online features, contact support@mufungogeeks.com.

16

Your choices

  • Change your display name. It must be 3 to 16 characters, and “Player” cannot be used on the leaderboard.
  • Skip country. Skip birthday.
  • Deny notification permission.
  • Buy “Remove Ads” to stop the interstitial and rewarded ads described above.
  • Uninstall the app to remove the local save.

Uninstalling does not delete the anonymous cloud records. Contact support@mufungogeeks.com and include the restore code if you want a cloud save deleted.

17

Security

A cloud save can be read only by someone who is signed in and has the restore code. You are responsible for keeping that code.

Online records are handled through Google Firebase.

18

International processing

Google processes data for Firebase, AdMob, and Google Play. That processing can happen outside your country, under Google’s own terms and privacy policy.

19

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
